Ho Hum...

Britney being in a psych ward really put a damper on my typical Friday celebrity photo/ blog site trolling... super boring day if you ask me.

C'mon, let her out! I need some entertainment.

Oops... She did it again!

Look at this mess. A millionare and she can't even bring herself to wear shoes in public....

... or a bra...

But hey... 3 or 4 days of no sleep hopped up on Red Bull...

Driving around aimlessly and roadside screaming matches at 5am, fun.

... a girls' 'bound to snap.... AGAIN. And she did.

Oooh! My ears are cold...

...Because of this ICE... NICE! I was given the most beautiful gift I've ever gotten, and I can just feel the love on my earlobes. I am far too spoiled. I love my fiance.
In other news, we have been rolling in the dog dough with all the dog sitting we've been doing this winter. Business is much better than last year, and thats a good and sometimes bad thing. Jenny is working herself silly, so she is going to take a little weekend jaunt to D.C. to visit a friend and former client who just relocated there. In the meantime, I will be staying home with the 'kids' like a good little wife.
Tax season is upon us, and I always get a good return! Looks like my individual will be in the $1,600 range, and with our Hybrid tax credit of $1,575 all that cash will go to good use for the wedding.... which is rapidly approaching and around the corner. We've got 4 months. 4 MONTHS!!! OMG. I'm super excited, and can't wait.
I rented a workout video from Netflix to see if I could get the vibes going again to get back to the gym. I need to get back on this horse.
And a few final tidbits... we bought an old station wagon to be our dog car, so no more dirty Prius! And I bought our second set of Ani DiFranco tickets for her tour in April. We'll be driving to Chico and staying with my dad's parents, and then a week or two later, she is comig to Seattle. Yay! It wouldn't be a good year, unless we got a little Ani.
I hope all are well, and recovering nicely from the holidays.

Britney's Big Breakdown

Oh my God, it finally happened.

Britney Spears held her kids hostage on Thursday night. Cops had to be called to her home after she refused to turn over custody of her children to Kevin Federline's bodyguard, as she was required to do. Sean Preston and Jayden James are now in the safe and better hands of their father and Britney was rushed to the emergency room for psychiatric evaluation and because police observed her to be under the influence of some unknown substance. For continuing coverage of this trainwreck...

And if you're in the mood for some videos....

A great photo montage...

Adios '07

1.What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before? I went to the East Coast, NYC & Boston.

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I Don't make New Year's resolutions. I think they are BS, and you should be making resolutions everyday of your life so you are continually improving.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Yes, Ross & Allison had Russell in December.

4. Did anyone close to you die? Not close to me, but close to Jenny.

5. What countries did you visit? Canada, the only country I need to go to...

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?A smaller ass.

7. What date(s) from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Hm, weird question. None really...

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Wow, probably being recognized by my company as a Top Achiever.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Nope. Healthy as a horse.

11. What was the best thing you bought? A Hybrid.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration? My little sister Heather, even though my mom is a crazy bitch she put that aside and let her attend her wedding. She's got more patience than I'll ever have.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder? thinner or fatter? richer or poorer?
I think I'm happier... this time last year I was moving, and that was a pain in the ass. Thinner or fatter? I'm about the same, but shit is shifting around. And... I feel I'm richer. Friends, and my chosen family enrich my life more than money could.

36. What political issue stirred you the most? OMG all the finger pointing going on in our current administration, and the faux "change" the next set of candidates are proposing. Its all about the warm & fuzzy bullshit.

37. Who did you miss? My dad's parents, I was being a lazy bastard about keeping in touch.

38. Who was the best new person you met? Kelly and Mark, by far. My not to forget Susan & Roger, Joann Mountain, my new co-workers. And re-meeting/connecting with Melissa :)

It's Britney, Bitch!

Thats right, bitches. I'm sitting here listening to Britney's new album, and I don't care who knows it. I FINALLY bought my iPOD! This is clearly not my hand, but I liked the picture, and it is an accurate representation considering I do in fact have Nelly Furtado on my iPOD, it is silver, and it's totally cute and small. The Nano is perfection. It's light-weight, it's got a full color display and plays videos, and it has a couple of your standard games already installed so I can occupy myself on the bus now! Not that I really needed any more accessories on my head, but now this thing is never coming off.

Our Winter Festivus was quite enjoyable. We let the dogs open their gifts on the Solstice, and we exchanged a few little things over the course of the month. On Christmas, while everyone else was opening their mounds of gifts, hoping to be happy with what they got, Jenny and I spent our morning painting a client's house for $20/hr (each). So we each made $80. Not bad considering I was already getting paid for the holiday. Plans to go back this weekend, and on the 1st to make even more extra cash. I think I may tuck it away for my next hair appointment.

Speaking of, I don't know how I'm feeling about the blonde I put in. I think after the dark for so long the blonde isnt quite what I'm used to and I almost want to go back to the brown. We'll see. I think I'm going to give it at least another month before I go messing around with it.

Reasons to live downtown...

...Or at least experience downtown. As I walked from my bus stop today, two women were engaged in a conversation across the street. As they approached my corner, I could over hear what they were discussing.

Woman #1: "I did cocaine the whole time I was in prison."

Woman #2: "Wow, really? How'd you get it?"

Woman #1: "It wasn't that hard, it was everywhere. I did coke, meth, and I was popping pills, too."

Woman #2: "How'd you pay for it?"

Woman #1: "I'd have my grandmama put some money on the books for me, I'd buy somethin' and get some cash back, it was easy. They don't care, they almost want you to get addicted."

Jesus. This was not a conversation you should be having at full volume speaking voice on a street corner in downtown.

So, Jen and I are finally getting some solid, undisturbed sleep. Now that the girl upstairs has stopped fucking her nasty boyfriend at 12, 2 and 4am in the morning. It's sick when you can hear people having sex... the squeeking of the bed and occassional moaning, then they get up, pee and probably flush the rubber, slam some cabinets and then shuffle back to the bed. Nasty. I don't want to hear all that. It's like they are practically in our bedroom having sex it's so loud. And Im obviously am not down with hetero sex happening in my bedroom.
